About the role
CS Progyms Pharmaceutical Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Boilerman to join our manufacturing operations team in Rawang, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable operation of our boiler systems, which are essential to our pharmaceutical manufacturing processes. As Boilerman, you will be responsible for the day-to-day monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting of boiler equipment, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and operational standards. This position is vital to maintaining the continuity and quality of our production operations.
Key responsibilities
Monitor boiler operations and system parameters, including pressure, temperature and water levels, ensuring they remain within safe operating limits
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on boiler equipment, pipes, valves and associated systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance
- Identify and diagnose boiler malfunctions and technical issues, performing repairs or coordinating with maintenance teams as necessary
- Maintain accurate records of boiler operations, maintenance activities, inspections and any incidents or safety concerns
- Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety and environmental regulations, including boiler safety standards and pharmaceutical manufacturing guidelines
- Operate and manage fuel systems, monitoring consumption and efficiency levels
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and equipment failures, taking immediate corrective action to minimise downtime
- Clean and maintain boiler systems and surrounding work areas in accordance with company hygiene and safety standards
- Assist in training and supporting junior team members on boiler operation and maintenance best practices
- Liaise with production teams to ensure boiler availability and support production schedules
What we're looking for
Recognized boilerman certification or qualification in boiler operation and maintenance
- Minimum of 2–3 years of proven experience operating and maintaining industrial boiler systems
- Strong knowledge of boiler mechanics, steam generation, fuel systems and associated equipment
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environments is highly desirable
- Excellent understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations, with a demonstrated commitment to safety compliance
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and maintenance documentation
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Good communication skills and the ability to report issues clearly and concisely
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform tasks that may require standing, climbing and lifting for extended periods
- Shift work capability, including the potential for on-call support
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
