KorumLegal is looking for an experienced Commercial Lawyer to join our panel of legal professionals for a full-time contract assignment. In this role, the Senior Legal Counsel will support one of the world's leading resources companies in Malaysia. As this is an urgent engagement, candidates with immediate availability will be strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

This role will focus predominantly on drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements, including procurement, marketing and other legal documentation. The role will also involve working closely with legal and business stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions to drive legal innovation initiatives and provide strategic advice on Malaysian, Philippine and potentially broader regional legal issues.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is a qualified lawyer in Malaysia with 10-20 years of PQE, gained within a top-tier law firm and/or corporate legal department. Strong commercial contracting expertise, stakeholder management skills and the ability to assess and manage legal risk independently are essential. Fluency in English along with excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
