About the role

Lead the overall finance and accounting operations of the Group. This role involves developing financial strategies, annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans, and providing financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and decision-making. You will evaluate the financial viability of construction projects, land acquisitions, and development investments.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the overall finance and accounting operations of the Group

  • Develop financial strategies, annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans

  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and decision-making

  • Evaluate the financial viability of construction projects, land acquisitions, and development investments

  • Oversee project accounting for construction contracts, including project costing, WIP, revenue recognition, project cash flows, and profitability analysis

  • Review progress billings, retention sums, variation orders (VO), extension of time (EOT) claims, and final account settlements

  • Monitor project performance against budget and forecast

  • Ensure compliance with MFRS, IFRS, Companies Act, tax regulations, and statutory requirements

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, management accounts, and board papers

  • Manage group cash flow, project cash flow forecasting, and working capital requirements

About you

  • Strong knowledge of MFRS 15 Revenue from Contracts with Customers and its application to construction contracts and property development activities

  • Experience with project accounting for construction contracts

  • Knowledge of MFRS, IFRS, Companies Act, tax regulations, and statutory requirements

  • Experience managing year-end closing and audit processes

  • Experience with cash flow management and treasury operations

  • Experience implementing and maintaining strong internal controls and financial governance practices

  • Ability to lead and mentor finance teams

  • Experience developing finance processes, systems, and reporting capabilities
