About the role
We are seeking a 5G/6G Network Systems Researcher to join our research team developing next-generation networking technologies for Physical AI and Embodied Intelligence. The role focuses on designing intelligent, deterministic, and action-aware network systems that enable seamless interaction between perception, AI reasoning, and robotic actuation.
You will conduct cutting-edge research spanning network architecture, protocols, resource management, and AI-native networking, contributing to innovative technologies for future 5G/6G systems and their standardization.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on 5G/6G network systems for Physical AI and embodied intelligence.
- Design novel network architectures, algorithms, and protocols for deterministic and low-latency communications.
- Develop network resource management, scheduling, routing, and orchestration techniques for QoA-aware networking.
- Design and evaluate network control frameworks using technologies such as SDN, TSN, O-RAN, and edge computing.
- Build software prototypes, simulations, and proof-of-concept demonstrators.
- Evaluate proposed solutions through analytical modelling, simulation, and experimental validation.
- Publish research findings in leading conferences and journals and contribute to patent generation.
- Participate in international standardization activities (e.g., 3GPP, IEEE, IETF, O-RAN Alliance) where appropriate.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams and external partners.
Key Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Research background in communication networks, network systems, distributed systems, or related fields.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in algorithm design, software development, or network system prototyping.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct research and publish in reputable conferences and/or journals.
- Good programming skills (e.g., Python, C/C++, Go, or similar).
