1) Act as the Fire Safety Manager (FSM) and oversee the implementation of the mall's fire safety programme.

2) Ensure compliance with the Fire Services Act 1988 (Act 341) and applicable JBPM/BOMBA requirements.

3) Manage and coordinate the mall's Fire Safety Organisation (OKK).

4) Supervise and coordinate Fire Safety Officers and emergency response personnel.

5) Conduct regular fire safety and workplace safety inspections across common areas, tenant premises, car parks, back-of-house and service areas.

6) Identify fire, safety and occupational health hazards and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

7) Monitor the readiness and condition of fire protection and life safety systems, including fire alarms, sprinklers, fire extinguishers, hose reels, hydrants, emergency exits, fire doors and related systems.

8) Plan, coordinate and conduct regular fire drills, evacuation exercises and emergency response training.

9) Monitor fire safety requirements for tenant renovation, fit-out works, hot works, events and contractor activities.

10) Liaise with tenants, contractors, mall operations, engineering, security and other departments on safety and fire safety matters.

11) Liaise with JBPM/BOMBA and relevant authorities on inspections, compliance matters and corrective actions.

12) Maintain fire safety records, inspection reports, drill reports, training records and incident documentation.

13) Ensure findings from BOMBA inspections, internal audits and safety inspections are properly followed up and closed.

14) Respond to emergencies and coordinate appropriate emergency response and evacuation procedures.

15) Perform other safety and fire safety duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements:

1)Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Safety Management, Engineering, Fire Safety, Fire Engineering, Facilities Management or a related discipline.

2)JBPM/BOMBA-recognised Fire Safety Manager (FSM) competency/certification is required, where applicable to the premises.

3)Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in safety management, fire safety, engineering, facilities management or a related field.

4)Experience in shopping malls, commercial buildings, high-rise properties or other high-occupancy premises is highly preferred.

5)Strong knowledge of fire safety, emergency response, workplace safety and risk management.

6)Good leadership, communication, report-writing and problem-solving skills.

7)Able to lead safety training, inspections, audits and emergency drills.

8)Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with tenants, contractors and multiple mall departments.

9)Willing to respond to emergencies and perform duties outside normal working hours, including weekends and public holidays, when required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
