Data and Finance Support Analyst

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data & Finance Support Analyst to join our GIPS Service Recovery team. This role is responsible for providing application support and operational stability for critical Finance, Risk, Regulatory Reporting, and Business Intelligence platforms within a banking environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production support, incident management, finance systems, and data analysis, with hands-on experience across finance and risk reporting applications and supporting technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide application and production support for Finance and Risk-related systems, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents while meeting established service level agreements (SLAs).
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures to reduce recurring incidents.
• Work closely with business users to manage requests, resolve queries, and ensure timely closure of issues.
• Proactively monitor application performance, system health, and operational stability.
• Coordinate with development, infrastructure, database, and business teams to support releases and production deployments.
• Follow ITIL-based Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
• Maintain accurate documentation, support reports, issue tracking, and communication during incidents.
• Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR), Business Continuity Management (BCM), infrastructure upgrades, and platform maintenance activities.
• Analyze application capacity and performance trends to support capacity planning and forecasting.
• Support management reporting and contribute to strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in application support, production support, or application development within the Banking and Financial Services industry.
• Strong understanding of:
• General Ledger (GL)
• Regulatory Reporting
• Finance & Accounting Systems
• Business Intelligence and Reporting Solutions
• Risk Management Applications
• Experience supporting enterprise applications in both Unix/Linux and Windows environments.
• Hands-on experience with database querying, troubleshooting, and batch processing tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
