Job summary/Role description
Assigned to the Environmental Team within a project, the Environmental Engineer supports the execution of environmental activities under the direction of the Environmental Leader, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with required quality standards. The position reports to the Environmental Leader regarding project-specific activities and the quality of project deliverables.
Duties and responsibilities
- Develop and support environmental engineering activities in compliance with project requirements, contractual obligations, company standards, procedures, and work instructions.
- Prepare and contribute to Environmental Studies, assessments, and other environmental deliverables as defined in the Project Environmental Plan.
- Ensure the quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of assigned environmental documentation and project outputs.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to develop technically sound and cost-effective environmental solutions under the guidance of the Environmental Leader.
- Utilize environmental software, calculation tools, and simulation models to support project activities and analyses.
- Monitor compliance with applicable environmental regulations, standards, and project requirements.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to improve departmental processes, methodologies, and operational efficiency.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by sharing lessons learned and best practices.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of environmental regulations, technologies, industry standards, and engineering practices.
- Assist the Environmental Leader in achieving project objectives while ensuring quality standards and project schedules are met.
Person Specification
Knowledge & Qualifications
- University degree or diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent.
Experience
- Candidate must possess a valid CIDB Green Card
- Preferably with experience working on Petronas projects in Pengerang, Johor
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
