About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on and technically capable Equipment Technician to support the maintenance and reliability of equipment across Luckin Coffee outlets in Malaysia.

You will be responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and installation of café equipment to ensure our outlets operate safely, efficiently and with minimal downtime.

The role will work closely with Store Managers, Operations and external service providers to ensure equipment issues are resolved promptly and according to Luckin Coffee's operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance & Repair

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for café and store equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns to minimise outlet downtime.
• Maintain and service coffee machines, coffee grinders, ice machines, refrigerators, freezers, water filtration systems and other relevant equipment.
• Conduct equipment inspection, testing and calibration where required.
• Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Support installation, commissioning and relocation of equipment at new and existing outlets.

Outlet Support

• Respond to equipment breakdown reports from outlets and attend to urgent technical issues.
• Provide on-site technical support across assigned outlets.
• Assess equipment condition and determine whether repair, replacement or external servicing is required.
• Coordinate with Store Managers to arrange maintenance without unnecessarily disrupting store operations.
• Ensure all completed repairs are properly tested before the equipment is returned to operation.

Preventive Maintenance & Documentation

• Follow the company's preventive maintenance schedules and technical standards.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment servicing, repairs, parts replacement and breakdown history.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify potential failures before they affect operations.
• Maintain an updated inventory of spare parts, tools and technical equipment.
• Prepare maintenance reports and escalate major or recurring issues to the relevant manager.

Vendor & Contractor Coordination

• Coordinate with equipment suppliers, contractors and third-party service providers when specialist support is required.
• Monitor external repair works to ensure they meet required specifications and service standards.
• Assist in evaluating equipment performance and service quality.
• Support warranty claims and follow up with suppliers where applicable.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures.
• Follow electrical, mechanical, food-safety and workplace safety requirements relevant to equipment maintenance.
• Maintain proper housekeeping at work areas after completing maintenance activities.
• Immediately report equipment presenting significant safety risks and recommend appropriate action.

Requirements

• Certificate, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Engineering or a related technical field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in F&B, café, restaurant, retail or commercial environments.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Experience with coffee machines, grinders, refrigeration, ice machines or similar commercial equipment is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, motors, pumps, sensors and control systems.
• Able to read basic electrical diagrams and technical manuals.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and respond to urgent breakdowns when required.
• Willing to travel extensively between outlets across Malaysia.
• Possess a valid driving licence and own transportation.
• Willing to work on weekends, public holidays or outside normal hours when required for urgent equipment breakdowns or outlet projects.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: Up to RM4,000.00 per month
