The SAP Key User acts as the primary interface between business users and the central SAP/IT organization. The role supports reliable and efficient SAP-enabled business processes, provides user support, drives continuous improvement, and represents business requirements in SAP-related initiatives and projects.

SAP Key User/Superuser
Key Responsibilities
SAP Business Support & Process Ownership
- Serve as the regional SAP Key User/SME for functional areas (Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations and Finance).
- Support daily SAP operations, resolve user issues, and coordinate solutions with SAP/IT teams and external consultants.
- Promote SAP best practices, standardized processes, and efficient transaction processing.
- Monitor and follow up on SAP support tickets through closure.
Business Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve, simplify, standardize, and automate business processes through SAP.
- Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for SAP enhancements and system changes.
- Work closely with business process owners, IT, and key stakeholders to assess and implement improvements.
- Evaluate the impact of SAP changes on business processes, controls, and users.
SAP Projects, Testing & Change Management
- Represent business users and their requirements in SAP-related projects, upgrades, and improvement initiatives.
- Prepare, execute, and coordinate functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Validate that system changes meet business requirements and support go-live and stabilization activities.
- Provide business feedback and recommendations during project and change-management activities.
User Training & Documentation
- Train end users on SAP processes, transactions, and best practices.
- Develop and maintain work instructions, user guides, training materials, and process documentation.
- Support knowledge transfer and continuous improvement of SAP user competency.
Governance, Data Quality & Compliance
- Support SAP access reviews, user authorization controls, and segregation-of-duties requirements in cooperation with Finance and IT.
- Promote data accuracy, process compliance, and adherence to company policies and internal controls.
- Support internal and external audits related to SAP processes, access, and controls.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of SAP experience in a business environment.
- Experience as an SAP Key User, Super User, SME, Process Owner, or equivalent role.
- Experience in SAP support, UAT, process improvement, documentation, or SAP projects.
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
Preferred SAP Module Experience
Experience in one or more of the following:
- SAP FI/CO (Finance & Controlling)
- SAP MM (Materials Management)
- SAP SD (Sales & Distribution)
- SAP PP (Production Planning)
- SAP QM (Quality Management)
- SAP WM/EWM (Warehouse Management)
- SAP HR/HCM (Human Resources)
Experience with SAP S/4HANA or SAP S/4HANA implementation/upgrades is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- 3-5years in SAP Super user exposure/capacity.
- Diploma to Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Business Supply Chain, Finance
- Strong business process knowledge and operational understanding.
- Good hands-on SAP knowledge and transaction experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into practical SAP solutions.
- Experience with testing, UAT, and change management.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and training skills.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
