We are seeking an experienced L3 Support Mainframe Developer to provide critical application support and development for Cardlink applications within the banking sector.

Responsibilities

• Deliver L3 production support and technical assistance for Mainframe/Cardlink applications.
• Develop, maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot applications using COBOL and CICS.
• Analyse production incidents, defects, and application issues, performing root-cause analysis and implementing solutions.
• Develop and maintain JCL for batch processing and application execution.
• Utilise Easytrieve for reporting, data extraction, and mainframe processing requirements.
• Work with VSAM and sequential datasets for application data processing and troubleshooting.
• Support application testing, deployment, release, and delivery activities.
• Participate in SDLC activities including requirements analysis, development, testing, implementation, and post-production support.
• Collaborate with QA, application support, business, infrastructure, and other technical teams to resolve issues and deliver enhancements.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and application specifications.
• Ensure production changes are implemented safely and in accordance with established controls and procedures.
  
  
  

Requirements

Must-have:

• Bachelor's degree in any related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Mainframe application development and support.
• At least 4 years of hands-on experience developing applications using COBOL and CICS.
• Strong experience with Mainframe z/OS environments.
• Experience working with VSAM and sequential datasets.
• Experience with Cardlink development and delivery.
• Experience in the banking or financial services sector.
• Good understanding of SDLC processes and software delivery practices.
  
  
  

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with Mainframe automation tools such as IBM Tivoli or CA OPS/MVS.
• Familiarity with mainframe security solutions (e.g. RACF, ACF2, or Top Secret).
• Experience supporting card payment systems or ISO 8583 messaging standards.
