Role Description The AOI Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Bukit Mertajam. This role is responsible for operating Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment to inspect PCB assemblies and related components for defects, alignment, and quality issues. The AOI Technician will review inspection results, analyze defect data, and collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues and improve processes. Daily activities include setting up AOI programs, performing equipment calibration and basic maintenance, verifying conformity to specifications, documenting inspection findings, and supporting root cause analysis for recurring defects. The role also involves following safety and quality procedures, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring that all work complies with regulatory and company standards.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in AOI machine operation, PCB inspection, and basic electronics or PCB assembly knowledge.
• Candidates should possess skills in quality control, defect analysis, and adherence to ISO 13485 or similar regulated manufacturing standards.
• Candidates should possess skills in equipment setup, calibration, troubleshooting, and routine preventive maintenance.
• Candidates should possess skills in documentation, data entry, and use of manufacturing or quality systems for recording inspection results.
• Candidates should possess skills in teamwork, communication, and collaboration with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams.
• Relevant qualifications include a technical certificate or diploma in electronics, manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in medical device or high-reliability electronics manufacturing, familiarity with automated inspection technologies, and willingness to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment are beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Bukit Mertajam, follow safety and ESD procedures, and perform shift or overtime work as needed.
