We are looking for a passionate, resilient, and cat-loving individual to join our team as a Cat Groomer cum Shop Assistant.

Cat grooming is an incredibly rewarding and fun career, but it also comes with real challenges: cats can be unpredictable, scratch, or bite under stress, and injuries do happen. We are looking for someone with genuine kindness and compassion who can stay calm, gentle, and patient even during tough situations.

In this hybrid role, you must be prepared to handle both customer service duties and grooming tasks here and there, where required, or occasionally manage both at the same time. While the pace can be fast on some days, the workflow is completely manageable with the hands-on guidance and training we provide.

No prior grooming experience is required. We provide full, hands-on training and offer sponsorship opportunities for professional cat grooming certifications as you advance.

Key Responsibilities:

Cat Grooming & Low-Stress Handling

- Perform grooming services including bathing, blow-drying, nail trimming, ear cleaning, brushing, deshedding, and styling.

- Care for and groom resident cats on the premises.

- Handle every cat with extreme patience, gentleness, and safety-first techniques.

- Check for skin issues, parasites, or health abnormalities and communicate findings clearly.

Shop Assistance & Customer Operations:

- Welcome pet parents, take grooming instructions, and deliver excellent, friendly customer service.

- Manage daily shop counter duties, appointment bookings, and basic payment transactions.

- Maintain clean, safe, and hygienic grooming stations and shop facilities at all times.

- Use basic POS and digital scheduling systems to manage pet and client records.

Requirements & Attributes:

Mindset & Temperament: Deep compassion, kindness, and empathy for animals. You must remain calm, patient, and level-headed when dealing with anxious or difficult cats.

Resilience: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and capable of handling pressure during peak periods.

Realistic Expectations: Understanding that cat grooming involves physical labor, and that handling reactive cats carries the risk of scratches and bites.

Skills & Knowledge:

- Strong basic understanding of cat behavior and body language.

- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

- Basic IT literacy (comfortable handling digital booking tools and POS systems).

Experience: None required. Prior handling experience or background in pet care is a plus.

Availability: Must be able to commit to weekend shifts and public holidays (excluding official festive closures).

Working Hours & Benefits:

Employment Type: Full-Time (5 Days Work Week)

Operating Hours: 10.30AM - 8PM
