Role Purpose
Own and grow AmSpec's commercial position in Singapore across two downstream segments: (1) Energy & Chemicals — cargo inspection and laboratory testing for refined petroleum products, petrochemicals, biofuels, and specialty chemicals across the Jurong Island complex, terminals, and the bunkering and trading community; and (2) Agriculture — inspection and testing of agri commodities including vegetable oils, oleochemicals, grains, and feed, under GAFTA and FOSFA terms. You will be the face of AmSpec to traders, majors, terminal operators, and commodity houses in one of the world's most concentrated TIC markets.

- Negotiate service agreements, tenders, and spot nominations; manage pricing within delegated authority
- Build and maintain senior relationships with chartering, operations, and demurrage desks; be visible in the Singapore trading community
- Work with operations and laboratory leadership to ensure service delivery matches commercial commitments; feed client requirements into capability and accreditation planning
- Track competitor activity, market pricing, and regulatory developments (MPA, Enterprise Singapore, GAFTA/FOSFA rule changes) and adjust strategy accordingly
