Process Technician

Location: Tampoi, Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: Up to RM2,500/month, based on experience

Role Overview

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Process Technician to join the Process Engineering team. The role focuses on maintaining production machinery and equipment, troubleshooting machine issues, supporting process improvement, and ensuring smooth production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and upkeep production machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance for machines and equipment.
• Troubleshoot machine and equipment issues and take corrective action.
• Update machine check sheets, maintenance records, and reports.
• Monitor machine performance and support production targets.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance activities.
• Update temperature profiles for SMC Reflow Oven.
• Support Process and Product Engineers for engineering builds, validation, and process activities.
• Follow up on machine optimization activities.
• Record machine downtime after repair activities.
• Monitor and maintain ESD wiring in the working area.
• Support continuous improvement and line rejection monitoring.
• Provide support during line conversion activities.
• Participate in shift handovers and communicate machine or production issues.
• Follow work instructions, guidelines, and specifications for line conversion.
• Support production activities and other duties assigned by the supervisor.
• Support EMS compliance and environmental improvement initiatives in accordance with ISO 14001 requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Fresh Diploma graduates with an Electronics background are welcome to apply.
• Experience in machinery maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, or electronics manufacturing is an advantage.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work closely with engineers and production teams.
• Willing to support production operations and work beyond normal hours when required.
