At Thousands of Years Media Sdn. Bhd. (ToYm), we are looking for a Product Designer (UI UX) to shape the user experience of BiteShorts. Own the journey from understanding user problems through design, testing, engineering handoff and post-launch improvement. Make the platform intuitive so users discover content, keep watching, return and use paid features confidently.

On an entertainment app, design directly affects first play, next episode, retention and conversion. Work with Product, Growth, Data and Engineering to improve real user journeys, not just attractive screens.

What You Will Own

1. Own the End-to-End Experience

Design the experience from first app open through long-term use. Create journeys, information architecture, flows, wireframes, prototypes and production-ready UI.

2. Improve Key Product Journeys

Optimise onboarding, homepage, content discovery, search, viewing, next episode, subscription, payment and commerce. Reduce friction and improve completion.

3. Validate With Users & Data

Use research, usability tests and behavioural data. Define hypotheses and success metrics with Product, Growth and Data; measure the impact of changes.

4. Build the Design System

Maintain reusable components, UX standards, accessibility and visual consistency as the platform evolves.

5. Work Closely With Engineering

Prepare specifications and handoffs, review implementation, support QA and improve features after release.

6. Raise Product Design Standards

Explain design rationale, balance user and business needs with technical constraints, and mentor other designers where required.

Who We Are Looking For

We care more about the products you designed and improvements achieved than years or qualifications. Show a portfolio explaining the problem, your design decisions, validation and measurable outcomes such as activation, first play, watch time, retention, conversion or task completion. Strong Figma, prototyping, design-system and user-research skills are important. Streaming, short-video, gaming, e-commerce or consumer-app experience is an advantage.

What Matters More Than Years or Certificates

Can you explain your decisions, validate solutions and take a design from problem discovery to launch and improvement? No strict minimum years or degree requirement.
