Job Summary
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and restaurant standards while overseeing kitchen operations and guiding junior staff to maintain food quality, hygiene, and safety in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook dishes following established recipes and restaurant quality standards
Deliver food in a timely manner while ensuring consistency and high quality
Oversee daily kitchen operations and coordinate food preparation activities for smooth workflow
Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking techniques
Monitor food quality, portion sizes, and presentation to meet restaurant standards
Manage proper storage, handling, and rotation of food ingredients to maintain freshness
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen equipment, workstations, and food prep areas
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering kitchen supplies and ingredients as needed
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene protocols, and workplace safety requirements
Adapt to shift work including weekends and public holidays as required
Perform other kitchen-related duties assigned by management
Requirements
Experience supervising or guiding kitchen staff
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Good organizational and time management skills
