About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Drafter to join our team at Compart Systems Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. In this role, you will prepare accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings for manufacturing based on engineering designs, customer specifications, and build-to-print requirements. You will work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure all drawings meet technical standards, manufacturing requirements, and project timelines.

Key responsibilities

  • Create and modify detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings based on build-to-print specifications.

  • Interpret engineering designs, sketches, customer requirements, and technical information.

  • Ensure drawings comply with customer specifications, industry standards, and company guidelines.

  • Verify dimensions, materials, tolerances, and manufacturing requirements.

  • Collaborate with engineers and project teams to resolve design and drafting issues.

  • Prepare and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) and supporting technical documents.

  • Maintain proper documentation, drawing revisions, and version control.

  • Deliver drawings and documentation according to production and project schedules.

  • Support production and quality teams by providing drawing clarification and technical information.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.

  • Fresh graduates with strong drafting fundamentals and CAD proficiency are encouraged to apply.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other industry-standard CAD software.

  • Good understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical documentation.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering materials, and machining tolerances.

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and document-control discipline.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Able to work independently, manage priorities, and meet project deadlines.
