Compliance training is the most widely hated mandatory product in financial services. Everyone in a regulated firm has to sit through it once a year. Almost nobody remembers any of it, and the compliance officer who bought it knows that, because they had to sit through it too.

Solvere replaces it with short cinematic episodes, three minutes per module, real characters, an actual case going wrong, that test comprehension inside the story instead of with a multiple-choice quiz at the end. The content is built directly from MAS notices and real enforcement actions. The output a compliance officer gets is evidence they can hand a regulator showing that staff understood the obligation, not just that they clicked through the slides.

I'm building it in Singapore. The product works. What doesn't exist yet is a repeatable way to sell it.

That's the job.

There's no pipeline, no playbook, no case studies, no reference customers and no marketing function. There is a named list of about 30 target firms — external asset managers, fund managers, payment institutions and banks — with the compliance people at each of them identified. You'd start by working that list and end up owning how we go to market entirely.

Concretely, the first six months:

• Cold outbound to Chief Compliance Officers and their teams at MAS-regulated firms. Email and LinkedIn, written by you, sent by you.
• Getting us in front of buyers at the right events — ACAMS Singapore, the CCO Conference, Financial Crime Summit Asia. Working out which are worth attending, which are worth a booth, and whether a client will co-sponsor one.
• Running the sales conversations end to end, including the security questionnaire and procurement grind that comes with selling to financial institutions.
• Turning pilot interest into paid pilots, and working out what we should actually charge.
• Deciding what the go-to-market motion is. Direct? Through compliance consultancies? Through industry associations? Nobody knows yet, and whoever takes this role will be the one who finds out.

Being straight with you about the terms:

This is an equity role, and likely won't pay salary. Equity is meaningful and negotiable, on a four-year vest with a one-year cliff.

I'm a solo founder — the "founders and product teams" in most job posts don't exist here. It's me, and it would be you. I also have National Service ahead of me, which I'd rather you hear now than in month four.

Singapore-based is a hard requirement. The buyers are here, the regulator is here, and the events are here.

What I'm actually filtering for:

• You have personally done cold outbound that produced a first customer for something nobody had heard of. Not managed a team that did it. Done it.
• You are comfortable with a very long stretch of hearing no.
• You can hold a conversation with a compliance officer without pretending to be one. You don't need to know MAS notices on day one — you do need to be the kind of person who'll read one.
• You want to own go-to-market, rather than execute someone else's.

Everything else — degree, years of experience, industry background, whether you've sold SaaS before — I don't care about.
