We're Hiring: Product Lead, New Markets (Country Manager) — Vietnam / Indonesia / Malaysia / Thailand

Standard Economics builds Uno, a mobile app giving people in emerging markets a dollar-backed account, card, credit, and everyday payments. We're already live in Mexico and the Philippines, at millions of users within weeks of launch — and we're opening our next market.

This is not your typical Country Manager role.

There's no PM under you, and no PM above you. You write the specs, work directly with engineers, ship, and measure the results yourself. You own product, growth, partnerships, and compliance for your market end to end, reporting straight to our CEO and team in San Francisco.

If your product work has always run through someone else — this isn't the right fit, and we'd rather say that now.

What you'll own:

• Product — write specs, ship with engineers, measure impact
• Growth — find and run the acquisition and retention levers for your market
• Partnerships — payment rails, card programs, identity verification, distribution
• Compliance — KYC, fraud controls, regulatory judgment calls
• The numbers — signups, activation, retention, CAC — you pull and read your own data

What we're looking for:

• ~7 years experience, including time at a venture-backed startup where you were close to the build
• You've personally shipped product — not managed a team that did
• Comfortable writing SQL or getting to the same answers yourself
• Native-level command of the local language, fluent English
• Strong grasp of unit economics and what makes a fintech market work
• Understanding of local payments and identity landscape
