We are seeking an experienced and responsible Technician to support the maintenance and daily operation of our Tank Yard facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, managing Permit to Work requirements, liaising with contractors and suppliers, and ensuring all Tank Yard equipment is maintained in safe and good working condition.

Job Description

• Handle and coordinate Permit to Work (PTW) applications for maintenance, repair and contractor activities.
• Liaise and communicate with contractors, suppliers and relevant internal departments regarding maintenance and repair works.
• Coordinate and handle all *maintenance-related activities and repair jobs within the Tank Yard.
• Prepare and manage *System PTW applications, repair forms and related maintenance documentation.
• Monitor, update and follow up on outstanding maintenance and repair works until completion.
• Carry out routine inspection and maintenance of Tank Yard equipment, including pressure gauges, valves, pumps and other associated equipment, to ensure reliable and safe operation.
• Identify equipment abnormalities or defects and coordinate the necessary troubleshooting, repair or replacement.
• Support and coordinate Tank Yard shutdown and start-up activities, ensuring all required procedures and safety requirements are followed.
• Work closely with contractors during repair, servicing, installation and maintenance activities.
• Ensure maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with company safety procedures, PTW requirements and operational standards.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, repair status and equipment condition.
• Provide technical support for the general operation and maintenance of the Tank Farm / Tank Yard.

Job Requirements

• Diploma, Certificate or relevant technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic, Maintenance Engineering or related technical field.
• Relevant working experience as a Technician, Maintenance Technician, Mechanical Technician or similar position*, preferably within a tank yard, chemical plant, manufacturing plant, petrochemical or process industry.
• Hands-on experience with industrial equipment such as pumps, valves, pressure gauges, piping systems and related mechanical equipment.
• Familiar with Permit to Work (PTW) systems, maintenance procedures and repair documentation.
• Able to coordinate and supervise contractors during maintenance and repair activities.
• Able to troubleshoot basic mechanical and equipment-related problems.
• Good understanding of workplace safety requirements when carrying out maintenance work.
• Able to communicate effectively in *English with contractors, suppliers and internal personnel.
• Able to work independently, follow up on assigned tasks and ensure repair works are completed within the required timeframe.
• Experience in *Tank Farm / Tank Yard shutdown and start-up activities will be an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
