About the Role
The Managing Director, Singapore & Brunei is responsible for the overall leadership, growth, profitability, and long-term value creation of businesses in Singapore and Brunei. The role holds end-to-end country P&L accountability and leads the execution of strategic priorities across Equipment, Service, Aftermarket, Applied Systems, and Integrated Solutions businesses.The Managing Director will drive commercial growth, operational excellence, customer engagement, talent development, and digital transformation while ensuring alignment with Southeast Asia (SEA) and global objectives. The role serves as the chief representative of within Singapore and Brunei and is accountable for strengthening market leadership, customer relationships, culture, and brand reputation.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Business Leadership
- Develop and execute the Singapore & Brunei country strategy aligned with SEA and global business objectives.
- Translate regional strategic priorities into market-specific initiatives and growth plans.
- Drive sustainable revenue growth, market share expansion, and profitability across all business segments.
- Identify and pursue new growth opportunities, partnerships, acquisitions, and adjacent market opportunities.
- Lead annual operating plans (AOP), strategic long-range planning (SLRP), and investment prioritization.
- Ensure successful execution of the organization's strategy across both countries.
Financial Accountability
- Own full country P&L performance for Singapore and Brunei.
- Deliver revenue, margin, cash flow, working capital, and productivity commitments.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, business reviews, and performance management processes.
- Drive financial discipline through effective resource allocation and investment decisions.
- Identify business risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect financial performance.
- Ensure strong governance and compliance with financial policies and controls.
Commercial Excellence & Growth
- Accelerate growth across Equipment, Service, Aftermarket, Modernization, Controls, and Digital Solutions.
- Develop and execute market-specific sales, channel, and customer engagement strategies.
- Build strong relationships with key customers, consultants, developers, contractors, distributors, and strategic partners.
- Enhance market positioning and competitiveness.
- Drive pricing excellence and margin optimization initiatives.
- Expand service and aftermarket penetration to increase recurring revenue streams.
- Champion customer-centricity and service excellence across all business functions.
Operational Excellence
- Lead initiatives that improve productivity, operational effectiveness, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field required.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Experience
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience within HVAC, industrial, engineering, building technologies, infrastructure, or related industries.
- Proven country or regional P&L leadership experience.
- Demonstrated success leading large, matrixed organizations.
- Strong commercial, operational, and strategic leadership capabilities.
- Track record of delivering profitable growth and transformation initiatives.
- Extensive stakeholder management experience with customers, partners, and government agencies.
