About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to join our team at AWAGYU SDN. BHD. in Johor Bahru, Johor. This is a full-time position where you will take the helm of our restaurant operations and play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with company standards, and driving profitability whilst maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities

• Oversee all daily restaurant operations, including service standards, food preparation, and customer satisfaction

• Manage and supervise front-of-house and back-of-house staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment

• Monitor inventory levels, manage stock ordering, and control food and beverage costs to maximise profitability

• Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally and promptly, implementing appropriate resolutions

• Maintain financial records and prepare accurate reports on sales, expenses, and operational metrics

• Create and implement strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones

• Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate favourable terms for goods and services

• Ensure the restaurant meets all branding and quality standards set by the company

• Plan and conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, policies, and performance expectations

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in restaurant management or a similar hospitality leadership role

• Proven track record of successfully managing restaurant operations and achieving revenue targets

• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards, health and safety regulations, and hospitality best practices

• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff

• Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism

• Proficiency in restaurant management systems and point-of-sale (POS) software

• Sound financial acumen and experience with budgeting, cost control, and P&L management

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required

• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential; additional language skills are advantageous
