Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced
Safety Officer
to join our team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations, fostering a culture of safety, and reducing workplace risks on-site. This position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and thorough knowledge of safety protocols and practices in the construction sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Safety Compliance:
Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act and other relevant Singaporean safety regulations.
Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments regularly.
Liaise with government authorities (e.g., MOM, BCA, etc.) for safety audits and certifications.
2. Site Monitoring:
Supervise and monitor all construction activities to ensure safety protocols are followed.
Identify hazards, evaluate risks, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate potential dangers.
3. Training & Development:
Conduct safety induction programs for new workers and regular safety training sessions.
Promote awareness of safety measures and foster a proactive safety culture within the organization.
4. Incident Management:
Investigate accidents or near-miss incidents to identify root causes and recommend preventive measures.
Maintain accurate records of incidents, safety training, and risk assessments.
5. Documentation & Reporting:
Prepare and maintain site safety documentation, including safety reports, inspection checklists, and permits.
Submit periodic safety performance reports to management.
6. Emergency Preparedness:
Develop and implement emergency response plans tailored to the construction site.
Conduct drills and ensure all employees are aware of emergency procedures.
