We are looking for a sharp, high-efficiency Data Engineering Manager to step in and lead our core Data Platform team. Reporting directly to the Director of Data Analytics, this is a high-visibility role where your engineering choices directly impact global product and marketing strategies.

about the job

• Hands on leader who understands the "why" behind complex cloud data architecture and distributed systems.
• Building robust, automated, and cost-effective platforms.
• Focuses on engineering efficiency, workflow optimization, and talent architecture
• Understand the foundational logic of code, audit architecture, and comfortably navigate a data ecosystem that closely interfaces with modern backend environments (such as our recently completed Golang backend migration).
• Seamlessly pivot from whiteboarding low-level system designs with infrastructure engineers to delivering crisp, high-impact insights to business leaders.

skills and experience required
Proven experience managing engineering teams (ideally 3 to 6+ engineers). You know how to motivate senior individual contributors, scale engineering velocity, and manage technical team dynamics.

Exceptional, concise communication skills. Able to handle technical discussion with infrastructure engineers to discuss low-level design, and then pivot immediately to deliver a crisp, high-impact summary to business stakeholders.

High-scale, agile environments like internet tech, OTT streaming, fintech, or insurtech.
