Position Target

• Ensuring proper execution of cargo claims handling process within DSV Air & Sea Singapore Pte Ltd
• Timely handling claims connected with incidents occurred to cargo in transport
• Ensuring professional Customer Service for both internal and external Customers in terms of providing most important information during claims handling process

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Familiarize with DSV Group Cargo Insurance Claims Handling SOP
• Familiarize with DSV Freight Forwarders Liability (FFL) Claims Handling Procedure - see next sheet
• All claims are registered by the Operations Team on the Riskonnect portal. Alternatively, customers who have access to MYDSV can also register their claims
• Monitor on a daily basis, by logging-in to Riskonnect to access all claims registered in Singapore (A/S)
• Investigate the root cause of the damage with the relevant internal and external parties to identiy liable party
• Provided internal and external customers, in particular regular feedback on claims
• Take steps to protect DSV subrogation rights by sending Notice Of Intention To Claim to all liable parties (if not already done by operations) so that we are able to recover any losses from liable parties
• Apply International Conventions and/or DSV Standard Terms & Conditions (v.14) to determine the different maximum limits of liability

• DSV Airway Bill Terms
• Supporting immediate line of report and team on any other task

Education and Skills

1.    Diploma or degree tertiary Education
2.    Preferable 2 to 3 years of relevant skills including but not limited to international transportation, cargo insurance and claim mamagement process.
3.    Very good knowledge of English (orally and written)
4.    MS Office knowledge especially Excel.
5.    Negotiation skills, ability to work under time pressure and effective communication skills
6.    Interpersonal skills, proactive mindset, ability to manage complexity & time management skills

Minimal Work Experience

1.    At least 2 to 3 years proven experience in customer service / cargo claims position 
2.    Working experience in freight forwarding and/or general insurance industry
