About The Role

The Senior Manager, Trade Marketing is responsible for leading channel marketing strategies and execution across Modern Trade (MT), General Trade (GT), and e-commerce platforms within DKSH's Consumer Goods division in Malaysia. This role also spearheads the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring seamless coordination between commercial, supply chain, and marketing teams to optimize forecast accuracy, inventory health, and customer satisfaction.

What You Will Deliver

• Develop, monitor, and oversee the implementation of trade marketing plans across relevant channels and product categories to achieve defined business objectives
• Oversee and manage the implementation of standardized trade marketing processes, tools, and approval workflows to ensure smooth and compliant execution of all trade marketing activities
• Develop and execute trade marketing plans tailored to Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) channels including Modern Trade, General Trade, and e-commerce
• Drive in-store visibility, shopper engagement, and promotional effectiveness to maximize brand presence and sell-through across all channels
• Collaborate with Sales and Brand teams to localize marketing campaigns and maximize Return on Investment (ROI) across all trade activities
• Analyse consumer behavior, category trends, and competitor activity to generate actionable insights that inform trade marketing strategy and investment decisions
• Manage trade marketing budgets with rigor, evaluating performance metrics to ensure efficient allocation of resources and clear accountability for results
• Partner with internal stakeholders to align trade marketing initiatives with sales priorities, ensuring a holistic and integrated approach to meeting customer needs
• Lead the monthly S&OP cycle, aligning demand forecasts with supply capabilities and commercial targets to drive organization-wide business alignment
• Consolidate inputs from Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to build robust and data-driven demand plans
• Monitor forecast accuracy and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning precision and operational efficiency
• Partner with the supply chain team to ensure optimal inventory levels and service delivery rates across all channels
• Provide senior leadership with timely and actionable insights on demand trends, business risks, and growth opportunities
• Set clear strategic direction and cascade team and function goals effectively to ensure alignment, ownership, and accountability across the team
• Drive team learning and development in Trade Marketing practices and DKSH values, while pursuing continuous self-improvement to lead by example and build a high-performing function
• Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required

What You Bring

• Degree or professional qualification in Business Studies, Marketing, Economics, or a related discipline
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of the industry, market landscape, competitors, and customers
• Proven customer development and account management experience in the FMCG industry
• Strong understanding of FMCG channel dynamics and shopper behavior across Modern Trade, General Trade, and e-commerce
• Proven experience leading S&OP processes and driving cross-functional collaboration
• Ability to build strong client relationships and manage multiple accounts simultaneously
• General understanding of supplier and customer relationship management, including supply chain, field marketing, and branding
• Advanced research and analytical skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data sets
• Demonstrable experience in negotiating effectively and consistently meeting client requirementsIn-depth understanding of sales performance metrics and how to translate them into commercial action
• Proficiency in office productivity tools including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
