Job Description & Requirements
The Café Manager is responsible for the overall daily operations of the café, ensuring smooth service, high food and beverage quality, excellent customer experience, and effective staff management while achieving sales and cost targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations Management
Ensure compliance with SOPs, food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations
Monitor opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily sales reconciliation
Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure efficient service delivery
2. Customer Service
Ensure excellent customer experience and handle customer feedback or complaints professionally
Maintain service quality and consistency across all shifts
Build customer relationships and encourage repeat business
3. Sales & Cost Control
Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue
Control labour costs, food costs, and operational expenses
Manage stock ordering, inventory control, and minimize wastage
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and operational reports
4. Inventory & Supplier Management
Oversee ordering of food, beverages, and operating supplies
Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency
Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records
Requirements / Skills
Proven experience in F&B or café management
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and service standards
Basic understanding of costing, inventory, and reporting
Working Conditions
Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
Hands-on role with both service and operational responsibilities
