Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Lead Teacher to oversee the daily operations of our student care centre while leading a team of teachers to provide a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for primary school students.

The candidate should be a strong leader with excellent classroom management skills, enjoys working with children, and is committed to maintaining high standards in teaching, student care, and centre operations.

Key Responsibilities:
1) Centre Operations

• Oversee the daily operations of the student care centre to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with the centre’s policies, operational procedures, and safety standards.
• Manage daily student attendance, dismissal, meal routines, and overall student welfare.
• Support enrolment, orientation, and administrative processes when required.

2) Teaching & Student Development

• Supervise and support students in completing homework and academic revision.
• Conduct enrichment activities and holiday programmes.
• Foster students’ social, emotional, and character development through positive guidance.
• Counsel students with behavioural or disciplinary concerns and work closely with parents to support their progress.

3) Team Leadership

• Lead, supervise, mentor, and motivate a team of teachers.
• Conduct classroom observations and provide coaching to improve teaching quality and classroom management.
• Coordinate teachers’ schedules, classroom duties, and lesson planning.
• Ensure consistency in teaching standards and student care practices across the centre.

4) Parent & School Engagement

• Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, schools, and external stakeholders.
• Address parent enquiries professionally and provide timely updates on students’ progress and behaviour.
• Support parent engagement initiatives and centre events.

5) Planning & Administration

• Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports for management.
• Plan and organise centre events, holiday programmes, educational activities, and celebrations.
• Manage teaching resources, classroom materials, and inventory.
• Assist management in implementing new initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

6) Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Education, Early Childhood, Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a student care, enrichment, tuition, or education setting.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience will be an advantage.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, organised, and able to work independently.
• Passionate about working with children and supporting their holistic development.

7) Working Hours

School Term

• Monday to Friday
• 10:30 AM – 7:30 PM

School Holidays

• Rotating shifts:
• 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• 10:30 AM – 7:30 PM

Salary: S$2,400 – S$3,600 (commensurate with qualifications and experience)
