JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a Manager, Project Risk Management to manage and support MISC Group’s Enterprise Risk Management activities and programmes. The role will oversee project risk assessments, enterprise risk reporting, risk governance and assurance to safeguard shareholders’ returns and support the Group’s long-term business sustainability.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Manage and review the Project Risk Assessment framework in accordance with established standards and procedures.
• Facilitate project leads and sponsors throughout the risk assessment process, including identifying key risks, evaluating risk exposure and reviewing mitigation plans.
• Provide assurance on the completeness of project risk assessments and adequacy of mitigation measures to support informed decision-making.
• Manage Line of Sight reporting to PETRONAS for relevant project bid submissions.
• Manage the review and reporting of corporate risks, risk appetite, risk registers and quarterly risk scorecards.
• Implement Risk Assessment in Decision Making across the Group and review risks and mitigation plans identified by the respective businesses.
• Support the implementation of the Group’s Risk Policy, ERM Framework, Risk Appetite, RADM Guideline and Project Risk Assessment Framework.
• Provide independent assurance on risk controls and challenge risk mitigation action plans.
• Collaborate with Business Units, Service Units and Subsidiaries to strengthen the Group’s risk culture and ERM capabilities.
• Monitor current and emerging risks and manage ERM reporting to relevant stakeholders.

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENT

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Studies, Economics or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 10 to 12 years of relevant working experience.
• Strong experience in enterprise risk management, project risk assessment, risk governance and risk reporting.
• Strong knowledge of risk identification, analysis, monitoring and mitigation.
• Strong analytical, facilitation, stakeholder management and business evaluation capabilities.
• Ability to communicate risk insights clearly and engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge of the maritime or oil and gas industry is an added advantage.
