C++ Developer — Kafka & kdb+

Location: Singapore

Employment term: 12-month renewable contract

We are hiring a C++ Developer to build and support data-intensive applications for a global financial services client. The role involves working with Kafka-based data streams and kdb+ in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using C++.
• Build and support integrations between C++ applications, Kafka, and kdb+.
• Process and analyse high-volume data streams, with attention to performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot application and data issues, identify root causes, and implement fixes.
• Work with engineering, support, and business teams on new features and system improvements.
• Participate in testing, code reviews, documentation, and production support.

Requirements

• Professional C++ development experience in a Linux or Unix environment.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and kdb+.
• Understanding of multithreading, data structures, and application performance.
• Experience debugging production applications and working with data pipelines.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Experience with the q language, market data, or trading systems would be advantageous.
