Job Summary

Responsible for the total nursing care of assigned patients and works within the guidelines of Nursing HOP and hospital policies and procedures. This includes provision of supportive care, collaboration with other healthcare providers/services and navigation of total patients care from admission until discharge.

Duties & Responsibilities

A. Nursing Management

• Keeps Nurse Manager informed of all activities.
• Accountable for professional actions during each span of duty.
• Checks crash cart every shift to ensure all drugs and equipment are in place and in working condition.
• Carries out emergency resuscitation procedure in the absence of a doctor.
• Avails her/himself to all Emergency Response Plan (ERP) activities.
• Checks and balance Dangerous and Psychotropic drugs every shift and ensure comprehensive documentation

B. Patient Safety and Management

• Manages the total nursing care of patients, individualized needs as necessary, within the agreed nursing HOP, codes of nursing and religious practices.
• Assists doctors with patient examination and procedures and ensures doctor's orders are carried out.
• Communicates well on patient status, maintaining accurate and legible nursing records and other documents.
• Prepare Nursing Care Plans and implements and evaluates nursing care as required.
• Obtains report from the team she is relieving and record sufficient information to implement appropriate follow-up action as required.
• Provides report for the nursing team coming on duty, including sufficient information for follow-up action if necessary.
• Plans and executes Nursing Care for her patients with team members according to individual Patient's needs ensuring highest standard of nursing care is carried out.

Experience & Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Nursing
• Have a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) and Basic Life Support (BLS) is an added advantage.
• At least 5 years' experience in Nursing.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,600.00 per month
