The Dental Surgery Assistant supports dentists during treatments, assists with daily clinic operations, maintains cleanliness and infection control, and provides professional and friendly service to patients.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Chairside Assistance
- Assist dentists during dental procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials.
- Ensure patients are comfortable before, during, and after treatment.
- Assist with dental impressions, clinical photos, and X-rays where trained.
Sterilization & Infection Control
- Clean, disinfect, pack, and sterilize dental instruments.
- Ensure treatment rooms are cleaned after every patient.
- Maintain sterilization records and follow infection control SOPs.
- Report any infection control issues immediately.
Patient Service & Reception
- Welcome and register patients professionally.
- Manage appointments, calls, WhatsApp messages, and enquiries.
- Update patient information and maintain confidentiality.
- Provide basic post-treatment instructions as directed by the dentist.
- Refer any patient-related concerns to the dentist or authorized person before making decisions.
Administration & Payment
- Process payments and issue receipts/invoices.
- Maintain accurate patient records and consent forms.
- Prepare daily collection reports.
Stock & Equipment
- Monitor dental materials and clinic supplies.
- Check stock levels and expiry dates and practise FIFO.
- Receive and organize supplies.
- Check dental equipment before clinic opening and report any faults.
Clinic Operations
- Maintain cleanliness of treatment rooms, reception, waiting areas, and other clinic areas.
- Complete daily opening and closing checklists.
- Handle clinical waste according to SOP.
- Assist with laboratory cases, parcels, supplies, and inter-branch logistics when required.
Teamwork & Professionalism
- Work closely with dentists, clinic staff, laboratories, and suppliers.
- Attend training and staff meetings.
- Follow all Alpro Solaris Dental SOPs and policies.
- Maintain punctuality, professionalism, confidentiality, and appropriate appearance.
- Perform other reasonable duties assigned by management.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,200.00 per month
