Job Description

• Design, synthesize, and modify porous materials, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), MOF-derived metal oxides, and related nanomaterials for gas sensing and volatile organic compound adsorption.
• Fabricate and evaluate gas-sensing devices; assess sensitivity, selectivity, response and recovery, stability, and the effects of temperature and humidity; and analyze the resulting data.
• Characterize materials using PXRD, SEM-EDS, XPS, Raman/FTIR spectroscopy, gas adsorption analysis, electrical measurements and related techniques, and interpret structure-property-performance relationships.
• Maintain experimental records, equipment, SOPs, and laboratory safety; prepare reports, presentations, manuscripts, patent-related materials, and project documentation; and collaborate with the Principal Investigator, research team, and external partners.
  
  

Qualifications

• The candidate should have at least a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering, and related fields.
• Relevant research experience in the synthesis and characterization of porous materials, MOFs, metal oxides, nanomaterials, or related functional materials.
• Experience in gas sensing, gas adsorption, sensor fabrication, electrical measurements, or related experimental data analysis is preferred.
• Strong laboratory, analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with the ability to plan and conduct experiments independently.
• Good written and spoken English, effective teamwork and communication skills, and the ability to meet project milestones.
