About the Role

CSP Times, a Hong Kong-based luxury lifestyle and travel publication, is looking for a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Web Developer Intern to support the migration of our website from Wix to Squarespace.

This is a hands-on opportunity to work on a live digital publication, helping us transition our growing library of editorial content while maintaining our existing SEO value, search engine visibility and organic traffic.

We're looking for someone who understands the technical side of website development and SEO, and who can ensure that our articles, URLs, metadata, images and internal links are migrated accurately, without compromising years of editorial work.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with migrating blog posts and editorial content from Wix to Squarespace.
• Preserve SEO performance throughout the migration, including URL structures, metadata, title tags, meta descriptions and image alt text.
• Implement URL redirects (301 redirects) where necessary to minimise broken links and protect existing search rankings.
• Ensure migrated articles retain their formatting, images, hyperlinks, categories and tags.
• Conduct website audits before and after migration to identify broken links, missing metadata, indexing issues and other technical SEO concerns.
• Assist with Google Search Console and Google Analytics checks to monitor organic traffic and identify potential migration-related issues.
• Test the migrated website across desktop and mobile devices to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend improvements to website structure, performance and SEO.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated from a degree or course in Web Development, Computer Science, Digital Marketing, IT or a related field.
• Familiarity with website platforms such as Wix, Squarespace, WordPress or similar CMS platforms.
• Basic understanding of SEO principles, particularly technical SEO and website migrations.
• Familiarity with URL redirects, metadata, Google Search Console and website analytics is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage large volumes of content accurately.
• Organised, proactive and comfortable working independently.
• A genuine interest in digital publishing, content websites or website optimisation.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience migrating websites between CMS platforms.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS or JavaScript.
• Experience with SEO auditing tools such as Screaming Frog, Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Worked on a live website migration or technical SEO project before.
