The BDM is responsible for identifying and securing business opportunities for the company’s specialist design & build services. The role focuses on developing relationships with developers, architects, consultants, main contractors and government agencies while managing opportunities from initial enquiry through tender submission, negotiation and contract award.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve the company’s sales, revenue and growth targets.
2. Identify specialist design-and-build opportunities through developers, architects, consultants, main contractors and government agencies.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, consultants and industry partners.
4. Promote the company’s specialist capabilities, including tensile membrane systems, ETFE systems, steel structures and architectural works.
5. Understand clients’ technical, design, budget and programme requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
6. Coordinate with the design, engineering, contracts, procurement and project teams to prepare technically and commercially competitive proposals.
7. Manage enquiries and tenders from initial assessment through submission, clarification, negotiation and contract award, including reviewing commercial and contractual risks.
8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client information, sales activities, leads, opportunities, follow-ups and forecasts in the company’s CRM system, and ensure proper project handover upon contract award.

The BDM eligible for a performance bonus based on the achievement of agreed individual and company targets. Assessment may include contracts secured, revenue generated, tender-conversion rate, and development of new clients.
