Job Description & Requirements

Kitchen Assistant – Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with food preparation and meal production.
• Wash, cut, peel, portion and prepare ingredients.
• Follow recipes, work orders and portion standards.
• Maintain food hygiene, safety and quality standards.
• Keep kitchen, workstations and equipment clean.
• Check food labels, quantities and temperatures.
• Minimize food wastage and report shortages or equipment issues.
• Support the team to complete meal production on time.
• Follow company safety and security procedures.

Requirements

• Basic kitchen or food preparation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Able to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good attention to cleanliness and detail.
• Responsible and punctual.
• Willingness to learn and follow company procedures.
• Food Hygiene Certificate is added advantage.
