Role Purpose

The Donor Relations Officer is responsible for cultivating, stewarding, and expanding relationships with donors to ensure sustainable support for the organization’s mission. This role combines fundraising strategy with personalized engagement, ensuring donors feel valued and connected to the impact of their contributions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and philanthropic partners.
• Design and implement donor stewardship plans, including personalized communications, appreciation events, and impact reporting.
• Draft compelling proposals, donor updates, and fundraising appeals.
• Collaborate with program teams to translate project outcomes into donor‑friendly stories.
• Track donor contributions, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with governance and financial standards.
• Identify opportunities for donor upgrades and long‑term giving commitments.
• Support fundraising campaigns and events, ensuring donor participation and recognition.
• Monitor donor trends and recommend strategies to enhance engagement.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma/Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field (preferred).
• Experience in fundraising, sales, or donor relations is an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
• Proficiency in CRM systems, donor databases, and digital communication tools.
