Job Scope

• Assist to manage all underwriting aspect of Casualty and Financial Lines of business.
• Assist to formulate and execute strategies to grow target business for Casualty and Financial Lines of business.
• Maintain profitability of Casualty and Financial Lines of business.
• Rendered technical assistance to both internal and external parties for underwriting matters related to Casualty and Financial Lines of business.

Main Responsibility

• Underwrite all classes of Casualty Lines of business within the given underwriting authority limits, guidelines, monitor all the technical underwriting processes and acceptance of Financial Lines of business.
• Providing underwriting expertise relating to Casualty Lines of business.
• Assist to formulate and execute strategies to grow the targeted business towards the projected growth by collaborating with business units.
• Ensure strict compliance to Regional/ Local Guidelines, External Guidelines and Treaty Protection in force at all times
• Regular analysis of Casualty Lines business portfolio and act where necessary to ensure the profit-ability is maintained at the desired level.
• Ensure excellent customer service is always extended to internal and external customers within the set of service standards.
• Ensure technical infrastructure such as policy wordings, clauses, and endorsements are in line with market practice and at the same time meeting the Generali Group, regional aspiration and direction.
• Assisting the Head of Casualty and Financial Lines to organize/ provide Technical Training to team members, business team as well as intermediaries.
• Close monitoring of Casualty Lines portfolio performance and if necessary to highlight any potential adverse claims trend.

Qualification and Experience Requirement

Education:

• Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Law, Business Administration, Or Relevant Certification.
• Preferably Tertiery qualification in insurance related such as AMII/CII/CMII/DMCII or equivalent insurance qualification.

Experience:

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in general insurance industry (preferably in Casualty/ Financial Lines/ Liability), with at least 5 years in Casualty/ Financial Lines underwriting experience.

Skills

• Intermediate to advance level of computer operating and Microsoft word/Excel.
• Proficient in English.
• Possess good communication skills – written and oral.
• Solid knowledge in Underwriting of Financial Lines risks.
• Has good analytical and problem-solving skill.
