Job Purpose:
Responsible for leading the IOIPG’s corporate finance function, overseeing capital structure management, fundraising initiatives and strategic financing activities across the Group to support IOIPG’s growth plans.
This position plays a critical role in structuring and executing financing transactions, including (and not limited to) sukuk programmes, debt capital market issuances, syndicated financing and other fundraising initiatives, while maintaining strong relationships with financial institutions, investors and regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate Finance Strategy
- Lead the development and execution of the Group’s corporate finance and capital management strategies.
- Evaluate funding structures to support property development projects, land acquisitions and strategic investments.
- Provide financial advisory to senior management on capital structure optimisation and financing options.
Fundraising & Debt Capital Markets
- Lead and execute fundraising initiatives, including bank financing, syndicated loans and debt capital market transactions.
- Structure and manage sukuk programmes, bonds and other capital market instruments.
- Drive engagement with investment banks, financial institutions and capital market participants.
Financing Execution
- Lead the structuring, negotiation and execution of financing transactions, including:
- Sukuk issuance
- Medium Term Note (MTN) programmes
- Syndicated loans
- Project financing
- Oversee financial modelling, transaction documentation and due diligence processes.
Stakeholder & Investor Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with:
- Local, international and investment banks
- Legal and financial advisors
- Rating agencies
- Regulatory bodies
- Represent the Group in financing discussions and negotiations.
Financial Risk & Capital Management
- Monitor and manage the Group’s capital structure, debt maturity profile and financing costs.
- Support treasury in managing liquidity planning and financial risk exposure.
- Provide recommendations on refinancing strategies and funding optimisation.
Strategic Projects
- Support major corporate initiatives including:
- M&A transactions
- Asset monetisation initiatives
- Strategic partnerships
- Capital restructuring exercises
Requirements:
Education & Experience
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent is an advantage.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking or treasury.
- Strong experience in fundraising, sukuk or debt capital markets transactions.
- Experience within property development, infrastructure or listed companies is preferred.
