Role Title: Automation & Integration Engineer
Location: Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur (Hybrid/On-Site | Global collaboration with occasional late meetings across time zones)
Salary Package: Competitive Monthly Basic + Performance Bonus
About the Role
Our client is a premier global consultancy delivering marine, engineering, and technical solutions across the maritime, oil & gas, and renewable energy sectors. Headquartered in Norway and listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange, they are launching two major enterprise transformation initiatives: a global Back-Office Modernization (ERP, HR, CRM) and an AI/Digital Transformation.
As a founding member of their brand-new Digital Hub in Kuala Lumpur, you will address a landscape of disjointed systems and establish a unified enterprise integration environment. Reporting to the Group IT Director in London, this role is balanced 50/50 between Enterprise Integration (iPaaS) and Business Process Automation (Power Platform / RPA).
You will act as the internal Platform Administrator and Workstream Owner for the central iPaaS environment, i.e. governing, driving, and maintaining integration architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- iPaaS Platform Administration: Implement and manage the central iPaaS / Middleware platform (Dell Boomi, Celigo, Workato, MuleSoft, or Azure Logic Apps) to connect fragmented ERP, HR, CRM, and data systems into a unified hub.
- Process Automation Deployment: Design, build, and deploy low-code workflows and robotic process automations (Microsoft Power Platform, UiPath) to eliminate manual data entry across business operations.
- API Management & Data Flows: Maintain secure REST APIs, webhooks, and data pipelines connecting core business applications, enforcing OAuth and Microsoft Entra ID protocols.
- Workstream Ownership & Governance: Collaborate with external implementation partners during rollout and take full ownership of platform health, error-handling protocols, and post-go-live administration.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal Data Engineers, AI Engineers, and Business Analysts to turn operational bottlenecks into governed digital workflows.
Key Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience delivering enterprise integration and business process automation solutions in corporate environments.
- iPaaS / Enterprise Integration Depth: Hands-on experience setting up, administering, or managing a centralized iPaaS / Middleware platform (e.g., Dell Boomi, Celigo, Workato, MuleSoft, SnapLogic, or Azure Integration Services).
- Business Process Automation (BPA): Proven track record automating corporate business processes (Finance, HR, Procurement), with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) strongly preferred. UiPath or Automation Anywhere experience is a solid advantage. (Note: Role is strictly focused on business process automation, not industrial/PLC factory automation).
- Mandatory Certification: Must hold at least one formal certification in Microsoft Power Platform (PL-500/400/900), UiPath, or Automation Anywhere.
- API & Systems Exposure: Solid understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, JSON/XML formats, and secure authentication (OAuth 2.0, Microsoft Entra ID).
- Communication: Professional English fluency, with flexibility for late afternoon/evening alignment meetings with global stakeholders.
What We Offer
- Founding Member Autonomy: Shape the enterprise integration architecture from ground zero in a brand-new regional hub.
- High-Visibility Platform Ownership: Act as the internal owner of a major enterprise iPaaS rollout supported by external implementation partners.
- Global Exposure & Hybrid Flexibility: Work directly with senior IT leadership in London while enjoying a flexible hybrid working model.
