Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor role based in Petaling Jaya. The Quantity Surveyor will prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and tender documents, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project specifications. The role includes monitoring project costs, performing cost planning and forecasting, and updating cost reports throughout the project lifecycle. The Quantity Surveyor will work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to manage variations, evaluate claims, and support contract administration. Daily responsibilities also involve verifying progress claims, conducting site measurements, and contributing to value engineering and budget optimization.


Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong BOQ preparation and measurement skills, with experience in tender documentation and quantity take-off.
  • Candidates should possess cost planning and cost management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and value engineering.
  • Candidates should possess cost control and cost reporting skills, with the ability to monitor expenditures, track variations, and produce clear financial reports.
  • Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and quantity surveying or construction-related software; familiarity with standard forms of contract.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Relevant experience in building, civil, or property development projects; membership or progression toward professional QS accreditation is an advantage.
