General Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with the Manager on a daily basis regarding current tasks, and assist in the planning.
  • Ensures all Housekeeping quality standards are complied with and that Policies & Procedures are consistently applied.
  • Oversees an inspection program for VIP or vacant clean/inspected rooms.
  • Oversees cleaning schedule and maintenance program for the rooms and public areas.
  • Ensures all assigned duties are carried out , and that resources are efficiently utilized.
  • Act as a communication conduit between management and staff.
  • Responsible for the smooth running of daily operations
  • Maintain and control use of stock, equipment &consumables.
  • Actively promote Health and Safety , and report any breach directly to the Manager.
  • Ensure housekeeping standards are met and maintained in all facilities , and report to Manager.
  • Manages all external contractors relating to Housekeeping department and ensuring they follow all property policies.
  • Manages operating expenses to minimize cost whilst providing excellent guest service.
  • Compiles standard operating procedures for all areas of responsibility, ensuring that they are periodically updated
  • Timeously request purchase of consumables, equipment and materials.-Monitor and report absenteeism to the Manager.
  • Prepare daily duty roasters for approval by the Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.
