Research Assistant x1

Salary: $2,400/month
Contract: 1 year
Start Date: December 2026
End Date: December 2027

Job Responsibilities

• Support the processing and documentation of new acquisitions through donations and purchases.
• Attend item viewings and assist with discussions involving potential donors and lenders.
• Conduct research on design history, contemporary design and related topics.
• Assist with research and content development for projects and presentations.
• Coordinate with relevant teams on the handling and transportation of acquired items.
• Support stakeholder communications, acquisition procedures, cataloguing and documentation.
• Prepare meeting minutes and provide general administrative support.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong interest in design history and related research.
• Strong research, writing and organisational skills.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Background in design, art history or a related field is an advantage.
• Relevant research or collections-related experience is an advantage.

Working Hours

• Working Days: Monday to Friday
• Working Hours: 9:00am–6:30pm
