I am working with an innovative deep-tech company developing quantum communications and advanced optical hardware for secure communications applications. The team is developing next-generation QKD systems and moving advanced R&D concepts towards real-world hardware products.

About the Role

I am looking for an Electronics Engineer with strong analogue electronics experience and an interest in working at the forefront of deep-tech development. You will work closely with scientists and engineers to design, build and test electronics and optical hardware, contributing across the development lifecycle from R&D through to working systems. Experience developing QKD, optical, LiDAR, quantum sensing or other advanced hardware systems would be particularly relevant.

This is a sensitive government-vetted position. Applicants must hold Singapore Citizenship by Birth.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and test electronics for quantum communication systems.
• Develop and modify analogue and digital electronic circuits.
• Work with optical and optoelectronic components and systems.
• Design and test PCB assemblies, including high-speed signal considerations.
• Support the development of hardware from R&D through to prototype systems.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering and scientific teams.
• Produce comprehensive technical documentation and maintain strong quality control.
• Present technical work internally and to customers or partners where required.
• Support commercial and research proposals where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or related discipline with 5+ years' experience, or Master's degree with 2+ years' experience.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with analogue electronics, including amplifiers, laser drivers and sensing circuits.
• Ability to understand, implement and modify existing analogue designs.
• Experience with digital electronics, microcontrollers and interfaces such as I2C, SPI and USB.
• Experience with PCB design, testing and high-speed signals.
• Strong documentation and quality-control skills.
• Experience developing hardware products in an R&D environment.
• Ability to understand the wider system being developed, rather than focusing solely on individual components.
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for deep-tech development.
