QC Inspector / Senior QC Inspector

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented QC Inspector / Senior QC Inspector to perform inspection of precision machined parts and ensure that products meet engineering drawings, customer specifications and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process and final inspection of machined parts according to engineering drawings, specifications and customer requirements.
• Ensure all inspection activities are carried out accurately and responsibly to maintain consistent product quality.
• Inspect and verify dimensions, tolerances, appearance and other specified requirements using appropriate measuring instruments.
• Parts with critical dimensions or tight tolerances shall be referred to the QA/QC Leader for reconfirmation before proceeding to the next process.
• Identify and report non-conforming parts, dimensional discrepancies and quality issues to the QA/QC Leader or relevant personnel.
• Clarify any discrepancies, unclear requirements or technical drawing queries with the appropriate personnel before proceeding with inspection.
• Verify completed parts against engineering drawings and customer requirements before packing and shipment.
• Record inspection results accurately and maintain relevant QC inspection records and documentation.
• Ensure measuring instruments are properly handled, maintained and returned to their designated locations after use.
• Ensure measuring instruments used for inspection are within the required calibration validity period.
• Coordinate with Production and other relevant departments regarding quality issues and non-conforming parts.
• Assist in monitoring rework, repair and re-inspection of non-conforming parts when required.
• Pack completed parts using suitable packing materials to prevent damage during handling and delivery.
• Maintain good housekeeping and 5S practices within the QC and inspection areas.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Management from time to time.

Minimum Qualification

• SPM / Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality or equivalent.
• Candidates with relevant hands-on QC inspection experience are encouraged to apply.

Experience

QC Inspector

• 1–2 years of relevant QC inspection experience is preferred.
• Fresh graduates with good technical knowledge may also be considered.

Senior QC Inspector

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant QC inspection experience, preferably in precision machining or CNC manufacturing.
• Able to work independently and guide junior inspectors when required.

Skills & Requirements

• Able to read and understand engineering/technical drawings.
• Good understanding of dimensions, tolerances and basic geometric requirements.
• Able to use measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, Pin Gauge and other inspection equipment.
• CMM knowledge or experience will be an added advantage.
• Experience in CNC machining / precision engineering will be an added advantage.
• Good attention to detail and quality awareness.
• Able to identify dimensional and workmanship defects.
• Responsible and able to maintain accurate inspection records.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to work independently and follow inspection procedures.
• Willing to work overtime when required.
