Job Summary
************* seeks an AI Engineer passionate about mathematical reasoning and education to develop and enhance AI Tutor features. Collaborate with educators and engineers to improve reasoning accuracy, solution quality, and the tutoring experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance AI/LLM-powered tutoring features to improve student learning outcomes
- Increase mathematical reasoning accuracy, reliability, and consistency in AI responses
- Design and optimize prompts, reasoning workflows, and model pipelines for effective tutoring
- Develop evaluation frameworks to measure mathematical accuracy and tutoring quality
- Analyze AI failure cases systematically and implement improvements to enhance response quality
- Process and manage structured and unstructured mathematics datasets for AI training and validation
- Build validation mechanisms to minimize incorrect or misleading AI answers
- Support retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), knowledge retrieval, and model integration as needed
- Collaborate with mathematics specialists to translate teaching requirements into technical AI solutions
- Experiment with AI models, architectures, and prompting strategies to advance tutoring capabilities
- Support production deployment, monitor AI systems, and drive continuous model improvements
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Mathematics tutoring or teaching experience
- Strong academic mathematics background or participation in mathematics competitions
- Experience with RAG, vector databases, and knowledge retrieval systems
- Familiarity with LLM evaluation frameworks and automated test pipelines
- Knowledge of agentic workflows and tool-using AI systems
- Experience with multimodal AI and optical character recognition (OCR)
- Background in EdTech products and educational AI applications
- Knowledge of the Singapore Primary Mathematics curriculum
- Experience with reasoning models or structured mathematical problem solving
