Collective Designs Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic Interior Design & Construction team. This is a full-time position based in Ubi Ave 3, Central Region in Singapore. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a critical role in managing project costs, contracts, and financial performance across our construction projects. Your expertise will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects whilst contributing to the strategic financial objectives of the company.

Job Scope:

1. Preparing accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities, and project budgets for tender documentation and contract negotiations

2. Managing contract administration, including reviewing contractual terms, managing variations, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations

3. Monitoring project expenditure and providing regular cost control reports to project management and senior stakeholders

4. Conducting site valuations and interim payment assessments to ensure accurate financial tracking throughout project delivery

5. Negotiating with suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms

6. Analyzing claims and variations, preparing recommendations, and supporting dispute resolution processes where necessary

7. Maintaining comprehensive project records, documentation, and financial databases in accordance with industry standards

8. Collaborating with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure cost-effective solutions and design optimization

9. Conducting final account settlements and preparing project closure documentation

Candidate to Qualify for the Post:

1. Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying — Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or a related field

2. Minimum 2 years' quantity surveying experience, preferably on Singapore residential, commercial projects; interior fit-out and A&A experience is a strong advantage. Candidates who have work rights in Singapore & Malaysia will be considered.

3. Strong knowledge of contract management in Singapore's design and construction industry — BQ preparation, tendering, contract administration, variation orders and final accounts.

4. Working knowledge of Singapore construction practices, procurement standards and regulatory requirements, including PE endorsement for structural hacking and MCST renovation submissions.

5. The role requires conducting price negotiations and site coordination directly with subcontractors and suppliers, the majority of whom communicate in other language rather than English.

6. Strong Excel skills, knowledgeable in reading architectural drawings and performing quantity take-offs; familiar with cost estimation software. Proficiency in software skills e.g. Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD/Revit, Planswift, CostX is required.

7. Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the discipline to keep costings, contracts, variation orders and drawings accurate, current and traceable

8. Confident negotiator who can compare bids line by line, challenge inflated quotes and secure fair pricing from subcontractors and suppliers

9. Able to run costings for several projects concurrently and prioritize effectively under deadline pressure

10. Strong communicator who can run their own workload independently while coordinating closely with designers, accounts, project teams and contractors
