Job Summary

Responsible for monitoring and ensuring the quality of civil, structural, and architectural works in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, inspection and test plans (ITP), and applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect civil, structural, and architectural works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Prepare, implement, and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), checklists, method statements, and quality procedures.
• Conduct site inspections and coordinate Request for Inspection (RFI) with consultants, clients, and relevant parties.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, material submissions, and technical documents.
• Verify materials delivered to site comply with approved specifications and conduct necessary inspections and testing.
• Monitor activities such as earthworks, excavation, piling, foundations, concrete works, structural steel, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, roofing, flooring, and architectural finishes.
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to resolve quality issues.
• Identify and report non-conformance, defects, and quality issues, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain NCR, inspection records, test reports, quality documentation, and as-built records.
• Monitor concrete works, including pre-pour inspections, concrete sampling, slump tests, cube tests, and test result tracking.
• Ensure testing and inspection activities are carried out according to project requirements and applicable standards.
• Assist in preparing QA/QC reports, inspection summaries, and monthly quality reports.
• Participate in internal, client, consultant, and third-party quality audits and inspections.
• Ensure proper close-out of outstanding quality issues, punch lists, and project handover documentation.

Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in QA/QC for civil, structural, and architectural construction projects.
• Experience in industrial, infrastructure, building, or oil & gas projects is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, ITP, RFI, NCR, inspection procedures, and quality documentation.
• Familiar with relevant Malaysian Standards, international standards, project specifications, and construction practices.
• Able to read and interpret civil, structural, and architectural drawings.
• Good communication, coordination, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
