The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Analyst, Primary Research & Customer Insights. As a member of a team of research analysts focused on generating market and industry insights from demand-side methodologies, this role is responsible for the effective scoping and execution of primary research projects across various sectors of industry coverage and the creation of insights through quantitative analysis techniques.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead high-quality primary research projects that create market-based perspectives for syndicated research services, ensuring strategic alignment with project objectives.

• Direct and manage on-time delivery of complex primary research projects that serve as essential components of consulting engagements.

• Lead collaboration with analysts, clients, and research partners to design and validate sophisticated survey instruments that produce high-value metrics and actionable insights, providing expert guidance on methodology.

• Oversee and optimize the successful fielding of survey projects that meet required quotas while managing relationships with stakeholders and troubleshooting complex sampling challenges.

• Drive and implement innovative methodologies that further our analytic techniques for generating insights from primary research.

• Lead and champion the creation of new research panel communities that feed research services designed to deliver a pulse on the requirements of key industry sectors.

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with research partners, panel providers, and internal clients to ensure research objectives and expectations are met.

• Mentor and develop junior research analysts, providing guidance on research design, analytical techniques, project management, and professional development.

• Lead/contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the research team, including training sessions, methodology workshops, and documentation of best practices to elevate overall team capabilities.

• Author and oversee the creation of research reports based on primary research findings, ensuring analytical validity and compelling narrative.

• 10+ years of experience in research, data analysis, or related roles.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Advanced proficiency in research methodologies, data acquisition, and operational workflows.
• Strong quantitative analysis expertise. Strong analytical skills to manage and interpret large datasets, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights.
• Strong secondary research skills/ability to discover and aggregate disparate information into useful actions.
• Experience with analytical tools and platforms such as Qualtrics, SPSS, Excel, etc.
• Technology market experience is useful
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to present findings and guide junior team members.
• Commitment to innovation and staying at the forefront of industry trends and best practices.
• Experience in using data tools such as Python, SQL, Excel, or other relevant platforms for data collection, processing, analysis, and visualization is beneficial.
