Job Overview

The National University is seeking a Research Associate to support research projects in areas such as biochemistry, health services research, or related scientific fields. The role involves conducting experiments or data analysis, contributing to publications, and assisting with lab or project management under the guidance of principal investigators.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform data cleaning, handling, analysis, or laboratory experiments as required by the project.
• Assist in drafting research abstracts, manuscripts, and reports.
• Support literature reviews, data collection, and statistical analysis.
• Contribute to lab operations, safety, procurement, or administrative functions.
• Collaborate with research teams and stakeholders.
• Help prepare presentations and support grant-related activities.
• Maintain accurate research records and ensure compliance with protocols.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Public Health, Statistics, Data Science, or related field).
• Strong quantitative, analytical, or laboratory skills depending on the specific project.
• Experience in research methods, data analysis (e.g., R, statistical software), or experimental techniques is preferred.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Prior research experience or publications is an advantage.
